GMU: George Mason University
A note to my students, Spring 2016: The time has come for me to move on. I do mean "move on," but I also mean literally "move." I am, in the summer of 2016, moving out of the northern Virginia area. The move will be far enough, I'm sad to say, to preclude my continued teaching at George Mason University.
It is with a heavy heart that I make this decision, as GMU has been a part of my life since 1992, when I showed up for my very first class. (It was an early morning French language course.)
Through my time in the History Department, with WGMU and especially my years with Broadside, I cherish my participation in the GMU community and will always look back fondly on my time at GMU both as a student and as a professor.
